Open World is built by one indie developer from Amsterdam.

The app exists because of one moment in 2024: I was walking through small towns in Italy, wondering about all the cool stories that must have happened there. Yet there was no-one around to tell them 😔

At the same time, I always felt that guided walking tours are too guided: you have to follow the group and cannot explore on your own. But the best moments happen precisely then - when you follow your own curiousity, taking a Lindy Walk.

Open World addresses both: it shows you the secret history of places around you, so you can explore how you want to, without just following directions.
